Hello My name is Larisa Hope and I’m very excited to teach Kindergarten at CCA this year. This will be my 6 th year teaching Kindergarten using the Abeka Curriculum. Prior to coming to CCA, I held an Administrative position at Paw Creek Christian Academy . I received my Early Childhood Degree in 2011 and attended Gardner -Webb University. It’s my goal to create a classroom environment where children love to learn. I view this position as a ministry, and thank the Lord for all the opportunities He has given me thus far. I’m blessed with my husband Chuck , 4 children , 5 grandchildren and a new little grandchild on the way.

My name is Cathy Sigmon and this is my tenth year as the first grade teacher at CCA. I feel the Lord led me to CCA and has blessed my life with my students and families as well as the best coworkers! At CCA, we are all a family and we all together help our students to succeed and achieve great things! The honor of teaching my students and being a part of their educational and spiritual growth is one of my greatest blessings!! I have been married for 35 years and have three grown, married children. I have two grandsons at CCA ( Jacob is in kindergarten and Hunter is in 3rd grade)and in December, I will have a new grand baby!! Being a Lollie is so special to me!! I have an associate degree and I have worked in education for 20 years in many areas. I am so excited for all of the amazing things that are going to happen this year and cannot wait to see all of my smiling students!

Kris Simonds 6th year teaching (4th year teaching 3rd grade at CCA) Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education and child development. I love watching how my students grow and learn through academics, socializing, and especially learning the word of God. These kids fill my heart and soul with joy and love every day.

I am Mrs. Singleton. This is my third year teaching at CCA! I have my Associates of Arts from Gaston College and transferred to UNC Charlotte for a semester. I have three children who attend CCA in the pre-k program. I love being a part of a ministry where I can help students grow in Jesus and academically!

My name is Angela Holcombe, a little bit about me is, I love God and thank him for all he does for me and for all his blessings! I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and making memories! I have been married to my best friend for 17 years. We have two amazing daughters, Skylar who is 13 going into the 8th grade and Rylie who is 12 going into the 7th grade. This year will be my 6th year teaching 4th grade and I absolutely love it! I am a firm believer that God has a plan for everyone and I am so thankful for the one he had for me!

I am a mother of three sons, grandmother of six, and great-grandmother of three. I am richly blessed! I have worked with children for 32 years; 9 years as a daycare teacher, 9 years in public school, 5 years as a nanny, and 9 years at CCA teaching math and sign language. Although I enjoyed the work that I did in the past, I can honestly say that my time at CCA has been the most fulfilling. I have learned so much about being a child of God from the children in my classroom. The lessons have ranged from a better way to teach a math concept to the true meaning of mercy and grace. I can't wait to see how God uses the children in this year's classes to bring His Word to life!

My name is Frank Johnson. I’m a 3rd year middle school science teacher. I have tutored kids in various subjects over many years, including math, science, Bible, music and chess. I am currently the pastor of Hands and Feet Fellowship, where we serve in the downtown Gastonia area. I felt called by God to serve here at CCA, and really love the work that is going on here with our kids. I’m also a host of a podcast called “Our Morning Take”, which is sponsored by CCA. I cannot wait to see everyone this year.

My name is Marie Williams and I am going to be teaching middle school history this year. I am 26 years old and newly married to my husband Justin. Outside of school I enjoy taking care of my plants, succulents, and cacti as well as spending time with Justin and our new german shepherd puppy, Zola. I have my Associate of Arts degree and have been teaching with CCA for almost two years now. My favorite part about teaching is being a part of my students' learning journey and seeing the excitement on their faces when they grasp a new concept. I am looking forward to teaching a new subject this year and getting to know each of my students!

I have a love for teaching students and helping them to learn the knowledge of the word of God as the high school Bible teacher. I, myself, was taught the knowledge of the Bible as a student at Southereastern Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC where I earned an Associate's Degree. I hope that you will encourage your child to always read and study the word of God.
